THE LOVE ROCKETS were formed in 2019 to prove, once again, that rock isn’t dead – because somebody’s got to do the job like it’s not dirty!

Despite all epidemic hardships, the four Berliners managed to tour their home country Germany with veteran legends like TERRY HOAX as well as international up-and-comers LÜT and AKTIV DÖDSHJELP, and even meriting their first Scandinavian gigs.
2022 marked the release of their debut EP This Ain’t No Rocket Science on Bakraufarfita Records, produced by Jenzzz Gallmeyer (GIGANTOR, DER MODERNE MAN) and recorded at Institut für Wohlklangforschung, Hanover, followed by even more live shows to streamline the perfect set of songs for a full coherent album like a roundhouse kick to the heart of every real rock’n’roll fan.

So in 2025, the band finally teamed up once again with Jenzzz Gallmeyer in Hanover and entered Horus Sound Studio (DONOTS, JENNIFER ROSTOCK, KREATOR) and IBM Studios to record the tracks for what is about to be known as Roundhouse Kiss. Propelled by steep melodies, red-hot riffs and a full tank of attitude, THE LOVE ROCKETS are firing off pure, unadulterated rock ‘n’ roll like it’s crude kerosene. Instead of desperately trying to reinvent the wheel or jumping on the latest bandwagon, they soar beyond contemporary fads into an atmosphere with no space for melancholy pop or artsy showboating.

With an engine running on a timeless formulation refined by the pioneers from KISS to the RAMONES, they proudly pledge allegiance to rock’s 70s royalty, while blowing a big wet kiss to their later Scandinavian spirit animals TURBONEGRO and the HELLACOPTERS. This musical kinship even gained them some notable guest appearances on two tracks, featuring lead guitar by none other than Raldo Useless (GLUECIFER) and Jørgen Lundstad Sparre-Enger (AKTIV DÖDSHJELP). The album sound was designed to both honor the raw approach from the golden days, when you had to rely on pure skill to sound great, while also taking advantage of the possibilities of a modern production environment, finished off by the state-of-the-art mastering from Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room, Fort Collins, USA.

Get ready for lift-off and join this bold maiden voyage exploring infinite hooks and strange new licks on a mission to roundhouse the rock world out of orbit! Needless to say, this recording needs to be enjoyed in style – on vinyl – and with a volume matching the track list, because this one goes to eleven!
This ain’t no rocket science – this is THE LOVE ROCKETS!
